Congress and coalition partner Janta Dal Secular has removed BJP in the elections of Karnataka Urban Local Bodies - seen as a test for the coalition government formed in May. Of the 2,7028 seats, out of 2,6 9 seats, where the count has been completed, Congress has won 988 seats, BJP 929 Janata Dal Secular won 378 seats and the remaining independents. BJP President Yeddyurappa said that his party would perform better, it was not for the Congress-JD (S) alliance.
