Examination Medium and Format
From 2019, the JEE-Main examination will be based on computer and the examination will be organized twice (January and April) every year. Students will have the option to sit in one or both of the exams of both. The examination will be held for 14 days at both times and there will be many sessions every day. Such an arrangement has been done with the aim of preventing fraud and distortion quite a lot during the examination.
Explaining the format of the examination, an NTA official said, "In every session students will get separate sets of questions. He said that it will be a try that questions of equal difficulty level in question paper of all sessions should be asked, but question paper of any session is more difficult so any session paper can be a little easier. It has been arranged to deal with the level of difficulty in the question papers that the percentile score of each session will be according to the performance of the students in that particular session. The official said that in the case of different levels of difficulty, some candidates can get more difficult questions, so that they will be likely to get fewer marks. In such a situation, the normalization process will be used based on the percentile score so that there is no injustice to any student due to the difficulty level of the examination.
A senior HRD official said that the kind of normalization process used on the basis of percentage score for undergraduate-MBBS test in All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Delhi, used to reach the NTA score of the same process. Will be done.
Ranking system
NTE scores will be used for ranking students in JEE Main. The NTA score will be removed by adding the percentile score of the exam held in all phases. First of all, the different percentile scores will be removed. Overall merit and rankings will then be created by mixing those percentile scores together. If two or more candidates have equal percentile, then the candidate, fax, chemistry will have more persactile, its percentile will be considered more.
Age will also determine ranking
If the overall percentile remains equal even after maths, physics, chemistry, then the candidate whose age will be high, his persmentile will be considered more. Still, if persistent tie, then the Joint Ranking will be given.
The HRD Ministry official said that a core group of experts from IITs (Roorkee, Kanpur, Delhi, Guwahati), IIM-Lucknow, NITZ, UGC, IASI (Pusa) and AIIMS, Delhi will be formed. They will be given the responsibility of finalizing the entire process and system of calculating the NTA score.
What is persentile and how is it extracted?
Percentage and Persentile are two different things.
Percentage means how many numbers you get out of 100
Percentile means that how many students did you get more than Like if your percentile is 60 percent, then it means that you have achieved more marks than 60 percent of the candidates.
If it is removed persentile
Total number of students having less marks than those who scored the highest marks in 100x group, the total number of group's total candidates
Just like a student gets 70 per cent marks and the total number of students who bring marks less than 70 per cent is 15000, whereas the total number of students in the group is 18000 and the percentile will be removed.

From next year there will be two major changes in the Joint Entrance Examination, which will be held for admission in engineering colleges including the Indian Institute of Technology. One change is related to ranking and the second through examination medium and format. The marks obtained in the examination were made by the students for the first ranking but now the percentile score will be based on the basis. On the other hand, if the examination is done, the examination will be based on computer and the National Testing Agency (NTA) will hold it twice in a year.
